Balunton Windfarm Meeting 9th November

BALUNTON WIND FARM MEETING on Monday 9th November at 7pm at Glentrool Old School.

Peter Moynan is directing the EIA and Planning work for Balunton Wind Energy Limited which is a joint venture between North British Windpower Limited and Invenergy LLC is coming, as is Graham Irwin, the Development Director for North British Windpower.

They are coming to answer questions you have regarding the proposed Wind Farm so pop in to the Old School which ip open at the weekends 11am -3pm and look at the published results of the environmental survey.Do a bit of reserch before the meeting and put informed questions to the meeting.

Can you make sure your friends & neighbours know about the meeting please.

 

Balunton Windfarm Planning Application

The Planning application is in for the windfarm at Balunton which is very near to Glentrool.

If you are happy with this that's fine.

However, if you are not, you can object by going on the council website

http://www.dumgal.gov.uk/planning

and placing an objection.

The application number is 15/P/1/0189

Rhododendron Spraying in the Glentrool Area

I am emailing to inform you of our intention to complete the rhododendron spraying in the Glentrool area now the school holidays are over, weather depending over the two weeks from Monday 14th September. The area around the Village and the path between the Village and the Visitor centre are complete. The areas to be worked are south of the public road between Bargrennan and Glentrool Village, and the area along the public road from the Visitor Centre to Bruces Stone Car Park as shown on the map provided earlier in the summer.
